Building on yesterday’s exercise, take some time today to identify some unarguable facts about your creativity and your creative work. It doesn’t matter what kind of truths. Don’t focus on aspirations or goals, only things you know are true. Try not to focus on negative truths, but if you do, that’s ok too. Don’t judge yourself. Simply contemplate.

Here are a few of mine:

  • I genuinely enjoy the time I spend writing.
  • On the whole, I meet my writing goals.
  • I put in the time.
  • I’m phobic about sharing or publishing my work, even though I think it’s pretty good.
  • Conversely, I enjoy being part of a creative community.
